These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Checked (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service (beta)

Checked may be provided as a beta or early-access product. Features may change, be removed, or be unavailable from time to time.

2. Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account access.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or misuse the Service.

3. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Attempt to abuse check-ins, stamps, or achievements (including automated or fraudulent activity).
  • Harass, stalk, threaten, or endanger others, or encourage others to do so.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service or its security.
  • Upload or share unlawful content or content that infringes others’ rights.

4. Location and safety

Checked is designed as a personal tracking and collection tool. If public sharing features are available, you control what you share. Please use common sense and take care when sharing any location-related information.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, including branding, design, and content (excluding user content), is owned by Checked or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute it without permission.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service. You grant us a licence to host, store, and display that content as needed to operate the Service.

7. Liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss of data, loss of profits, or indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, by posting an update on the site or prompting you in the app).

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory local laws require otherwise.
